Our story

Frank Bonacci opened his 600 sq ft shoe repair shop in Caste Village in Pittsburgh, PA in 1972. Over time his business was growing, and he brought his two sons along for the ride. Anthony and Vincent Bonacci took over when Frank decided it was time to retire. Since his sons have taken over, the business grew from a shoe repair shop to a retail store offering the highest quality work boots. When the boys were still repairing shoes, and trying to run a retail store, they found that offering Everyday Low Prices was the easiest way to deal with customers and still managed to complete all of their repair work. The retail store was successful enough to open up a second location in Robinson Towne Centre, just minutes away from Pittsburgh International Airport. The inventory outgrew the Caste Village store which led to moving to the new 20,000 sq ft South Hills Location on Rt 51 in 2015. (Disclosure, we no longer repair shoes at either location).

From the steel mills to the gas fields, Frank's Shoes has been serving the Pittsburgh area for more than 50 years with Respect, Honesty, and Integrity. Frank’s is even a New Balance Pro Care Dealer, and can find corrective shoes for your particular foot problems. We stock brands like New Balance and Brooks in our Walking & Running line.

Although the business has come a long way since the tiny shoe repair shop, Frank's Shoes still works with the same attitude of offering Everyday Low Prices in order to fulfill the needs of the everyday working man and woman!
